The Virtual Service-Learning Platform is a free online forum where members who are in need can post what they are in need from needing volunteers for an event, up to needing help on how to start something new, and everyting in between.

How It Works

Description of Need: A description of a need to advance the goals of a non-profit organization, non-governmental organization (NGO), or other community-based group that can be met in a virtual (online) environment by individuals or groups, especially college students. This group will start a new thread on the forum with this description and post it. Since this is a relatively new platform we highly suggest also looking elsewhere as not all groups may not be able to get the help required in time.

Responding to a Need: Responses from individual virtual service volunteers or groups that are interested in attempting to address the need will reply to the forum post or by a direct message on the forum.

Share Progress and Outcome: As the project is being worked on, we like to see the progress being made with the communication as well as the final project and outcome. Upload pictures or even a video of the event if applicable and share how the total experience from start to finish was.
